Access Officer

Under Section 26(2) of the Disability Act, 2005 each public body is required to appoint an Access Officer. Access Officers act as a point of contact for people with disabilities who wish to access services provided by the public body. They are responsible for providing assistance and guidance to persons with disabilities in accessing services or arranging and co-ordinating the provision of such services by the appropriate person/people.
